You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS ELECTRONICS DIVISION of SUBMEPP ACTIVITY.
Duties
You will be responsible for engineering and technical effort related to the development, coordination, review and approval of a wide variety of products for assigned submarine systems/components.
You will investigate and resolve test problems identified by shipyards and maintenance standard feedback reports.
You will develop life cycle maintenance plans as well as proposed work packages for overhauls and other specific availabilities.
You will conduct or participate in special studies and tasks requested by managers.
You will provide technical support to submarine maintenance activities.
You will perform maintenance engineering technical support for combat weapons systems applicable to ships or submarines.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing engineering technical services involving design, maintenance, overhaul or construction in support of ship or submarine systems and components.
