Duties

1. Manages and directs 688th Cyberspace Wing (688 CW)'s Learning Management System. 2. Leads, plans, and directs the activities of the 688th Cyberspace Wing, ensuring that all Wing Reserve requirements comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 3. Manage and provide oversight for the Numbered Air Force (NAF) Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). 4. Perform training management responsibilities for 16 AF civilians and 688 CW civilians and military.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (continued)
  • (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
  • PCS costs will not be paid
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures; extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and concepts in the application of the Wing Learning Management System, Wing Reserve Program Manager/Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) responsibilities to ensure regulatory compliance, visibility and sustainment as wing resource advocate within the organization. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge training principles, concepts, and methods; as well as wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to develop cyberspace and intelligence training programs. 2. Practical knowledge of funds management, budget procedures, and regulations governing APDP professional development and training activities. 3. Skill in applying standard qualitative and quantitative techniques sufficient to carry out assigned projects and studies. 4. Ability to gather facts and use effective, analytical, and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions and recommendations. 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6. Knowledge of federal organizations, agencies, and Department of Defense (DoD), involved with and responsible for Cyber policy formulation and implementation as it applies to USAF Cyber missions. 7. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
