Duties
Develops and delivers prevention trainings and briefs at both the unit and command level on topics to include, but not limited to, child abuse intimate partner violence, and stress and anger management. Facilitates evidence-based educational classes and workshops, i.e., stress management, anger management, parenting, marriage enrichment, and intimate partner violence awareness, with the purpose of reducing the risk of family abuse by improving life skills and coping with the impact of challenges associated with a mobile military lifestyle. Plans, develops, delivers and evaluates programs to support military members and their families. Continuous assessment of service delivery and subject matter to ensure that materials are relevant and current research in the areas of child and intimate partner abuse, meet the changing needs of the installation community and command requirements, and are in accordance with direction from higher headquarters.

Qualifications
Shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, education, psychology or other social science OR combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the social science’s field OR four years experience in social or mental health related services. A minimum of three years of this experience must be in the field of child abuse and neglect, family violence and domestic abuse. Must have demonstrated experience in outreach, community organization and development within the last five years. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of the Marine Corps Family Advocacy Program preferred. Experience working with the military community preferred.
