This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in Central Electrical Services (TFHE), Construction and Maintenance Services (TFH), Transmission Field Services (TF), Transmission Services (T). A successful candidate in the Work Planner Scheduler position is responsible for providing centralized, system-wide work planning, scheduling and evaluation services for Construction and Maintenance Services to ensure maintenance and construction services are conducted efficiently.

  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period
  • Selectee will be required to complete the Office of Government Ethics Standard of Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OFGE450e) within 30 days of employment and annually.
  • A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in 1) providing centralized system-wide work planning, scheduling and evaluation services that ensure maintenance programs and construction services are conducted in a cost effective and efficient manner; 2) providing strategic coordination of equipment outages to increase productivity and transmission system availability; and 3) working with managers to ensure that resources are balanced with workload. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 grade level. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands: Work for the most part is sedentary with no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. Work Environment: The employee normally works in an office that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require the normal safety precautions. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Visits to production areas are infrequent and relatively free of hazards to the employee. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
