Duties

This position is located in the Training Services Bureau (TSB), Chief Administrative Officer, United States Capitol Police (USCP). Serves as the training administrator for the TSB training management system. Works closely with the Office of Information Systems to implement controls and to ensure that organization training coordinators throughout USCP are fully trained and utilizing the appropriate actions in order to capture all department training within the data management system. Takes the lead on discussions involving training systems issues and concerns, and strategizes on optimizing various modules and functionality.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. For the CP-9 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-8/GS-10 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) applying analytical techniques in resolving issues and problems for system users, training coordinators, and management officials related to training data base; 2) conducting detailed records reviews and adapting search procedures in order to present information and finding solutions to complex problems related to training program information; 3) applying data management concepts, principles, and practices and 4) knowledge of laws related to privacy and major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of training services; OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Education may be substituted for experience. For CP-9: Candidate may possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
