Duties

Uses basic and advanced program functions to perform such operations as updating databases, and searching for and retrieving data through queries for reports. Provides guidance, training and assistance to travelers in resolving settlement problems with the Battalion Resource Management Office (RMO). Assists in tracking, planning, initiating and monitoring requirements for personnel, equipment, and Facilities to support the command and control and operational functions. Edits material and makes necessary corrections in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and format.

  • Requires skill of a qualified typist.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administrative procedures such as utilizing Microsoft office software to compose and produce administrative correspondence 2) Creating reports using an automated system 3) Receiving telephone calls and visitors and directing them to the appropriate area. 3) Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) for travel arrangements and assisting travelers with discrepancies. 4) Manage unit prevention leader (UPL) program.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
