You will serve as a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the Naval Shore Facilities, Base Operating Support, and Expeditionary Engineering Systems Command of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will administer information technology (IT) resources to meet program requirements (e.g., training, travel, material). You will evaluate information technology (IT) operation performance to resolve problems (e.g., excessive failures, delays, high operating costs). You will monitor information technology (IT) project risks to ensure the project remains on target, within budget, and deliverables meet quality. standards You will brief customers and stakeholders on the planning, design, and development of information technology (IT) systems throughout an organization. You will analyze information technology (IT) systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions. You will write information assurance (IA) system security plans to meet an agency's security requirement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field (N) Engineering and Technical Management Level 1. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications

GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Conducting or participating in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs and developing lifecycle cost analyses of projects.; (2) Consulting with customers to identify and specify requirements and (3) Preparing detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs and/or participating with management in fiscal planning Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
