About the Position: This position supports the Director of Medicine, Medical Operations, Family Health at Joint Base Andrews, Air Force Base, MD by providing business process management and medical administrative support/oversight to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) clinical teams and their assigned beneficiaries.

Duties
Assist the Group Practice Manager (GPM) with the development and tracking of short range and long-range goals for the PCMH team's business plans and objectives as they relate to the Military Treatment Facility's (MTF) goals and objectives.
Assist the MTF's Access Manager (Senior GPM or the GPM assigned to their clinic) by overseeing the PCMH team's access plans and goals.
Serve as the principal PCMH Team office manager performing clerical, office automation support, and administrative duties to ensure operations run efficiently.
Oversee the overall appointment scheduling activities, communication, and automated data processing equipment as it relates to Patient Appointment System (PAS).
Prepare statistical and workload analysis reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialize experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with scheduling and/or rescheduling patients for treatment medical appointments; updating schedule templates utilizing an automated appointment system; provide clerical and/or receptionist duties; maintaining medical records in compliance with regulatory/written guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
