About the Position: Serves as an expert Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Integrated Product Support (IPS) for major complex systems.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment.
Perform full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort and logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
Support management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations and other service users at contractor facilities.
Coordinate with representatives of other components and organizations concerning precedent setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex issues and their impact or potential impact on military requirements, various and different functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Certification within 4 years of entrance on duty.
- This position has a temporary duty (TDY) requirement of up to 25% of the time.

To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11) position in the federal service.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Responsible for implementing regulatory guidance to provide product support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and/or Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems; 2) Coordinating with other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) teams to plan and execute materiel fielding and property transfers adhering to audit readiness processes; and, 3) Planning, budgeting, and coordinating sustainment strategies to enable materiel readiness for the organization.
