This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center at Port San Antonio, TX.
This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Responsible for managing the test activities in support of Air Force Services information technology business capabilities. Applies a number of diverse test and evaluation practices, techniques, and processes to identify and resolve difficult issues and make recommendations which result in significant changes to the system. Studies and interprets requirements, specifications, and characteristics for the system to determine the specific factors to be considered, the type of tests to be conducted, and data to be obtained. Develops plans for conducting tests (or a series of tests) to evaluate system design and capability to meet established performance requirements. Ensures system requirements, interfaces, capabilities, and program factors are considered in planning, monitoring, and reviewing tests and test results. The work may include activities such as (1) development testing to determine the suitability of the test items for use in their environment; (2) production and post-production testing to determine operational readiness; (3) testing in regulatory programs to determine compliance with laws, regulations, and standards; and (4) testing in the social sciences using demonstration or experimental and control groups to determine the effectiveness of new methodologies or practices. Formulates and explains recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and techniques in an effort to obtain valid test results and devise new approaches to problems encountered. Executes projects to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local laws and policies. Provides support to internal and external customers. Performs duties to answer questions, capture information, analyze and solve problems, and hand-off to other resources as appropriate. Performs system administration support as directed. Performs other duties as directed to include providing training to internal and external customers on general IT software functionality.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Per DoDM 8140.03, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate foundational and resident qualification requirements within nine months of assignment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Experience with testing programming code for function and security in a variety of code languages. Experience with developing test plans and schedules, producing product configuration documentation, writing test cases on project requirements, reporting defects, and escalating issues as needed. Experience which provides a solid understanding of personal computers, relational databases, networking principles, and system administration.
