Duties
This position is located in the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services (EPS), National Firearms Act Division (NFA), Industry Processing Branch (IPB), located in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
In this position, you will plan, direct, coordinate, evaluate, and monitor the implementation of the Bureau's statutory and regulatory responsibilities relating to the National Firearms Act (NFA) as amended by Title II of the Gun Control Act of 1968, and the regulations issued pursuant thereto.
Qualifications
To qualify for 14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized Experience that a candidate must have include:
Providing leadership and supervision to a team AND
Applying in-depth knowledge of laws/regulations governing the Bureau's regulatory law and enforcement operations, pertaining to the firearms regulatory mission AND
Providing advice and guidance, serving as liaison, presenting briefings, preparing and representing an organization in a variety of internal and external forums AND
Evaluating programs or projects to analyze, evaluate, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization and making recommendations for changes or improvements AND
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with counterparts in order to promote cooperation and collaboration on program initiatives and policy implementation.
