About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4VYAA US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Mission Support Command, Office of the Inspector General.

Duties

Serve as senior advisor for all IO (Intelligence Oversight) matters concerning compliance with laws, executive orders and regulations of intelligence activities. Develop programs necessary for the fulfillment of regulatory IO responsibilities. Brief leaders on compliance with laws, executive order, and policies governing intelligence activities. Verify the propriety of sensitive intelligence activities conducted.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph Examination and pass random examinations thereafter in accordance with Army Regulation 380-67,Personnel Security Program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended temporary duty (TDY) or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • May be required to perform TDY of at least 35% of the time and may be subject to extended TDY.
  • This position is NOT identified as an Emergency Essential Position.
  • Must execute a classified information Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • Must pass all Inspector General records screens and nomination process.
  • Must successfully graduate from the U.S. Army Inspector General School and maintain certification in accordance with Army Regulation 20-1. (See additional information)

This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
