You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER, BRANCH HEAD in the SE & ALRE Group, ALRE Department, Visual Landing Aids Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will manage the engineering and logistics people, processes, and facilities required to support IPTs and enterprise functions for design and in-service engineering, and logistical support of ALRE visual landing aid systems.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings.
You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, provide or arrange for needed development and training.
You will develop new processes as required and modify/update existing processes for the branch and division.
You will complete administrative duties consisting of completing and/or approving timekeeping documents and leave requests, telework agreements, training requests, travel orders/vouchers, and miscellaneous forms and/or correspondence.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03/GS-09-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:
1) Leading multi-discipline teams responsible for the planning and execution of comprehensive life cycle acquisition/sustainment efforts to deliver aviation support equipment solutions within program objectives for cost, schedule and performance; 2) Performing management functions to plan and execute the allocation of resources, development of personnel, direction of multi-functional work teams, and evaluation of performance; 3) Applying knowledge and expertise of multi-disciplinary aviation support equipment functions along with critical thinking to analyze and resolve a variety of complex challenges directly affecting large, multi-mission organizations; 4) Collaborating with senior officials to address high level programmatic and organizational matters; 5) Supervising work, administering management policies and procedures, and coordinating functions across various groups to accomplish goals and objectives; and 6) Ensuring guidance, processes, and tools are in place and utilized to enable personnel to effectively execute assigned work.
