Duties
Serves as the principal advisor to the command team on all matters relating maritime operations.
Analyzes and interprets broad directives from higher authority for the management of the command?s programs.
Plans, initiates, monitors, and observes training requirements to submit requests and/or coordinate the utilization of resources.
Serves as Contract Officer Representative (COR) and manager. Manages and supervises the execution of multi-million-dollar contracts. Develops, writes and monitors performance statements of work as the pre-solicitation subject matter expert.
Requirements

- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- May travel up to 30% of the time.
- Physical examination is required.
- May require working compensatory time, overtime, nights, holidays and weekends.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Ensuring instructors and civilian work force are trained and capable of executing Special Forces Underwater Operations (SFUWO) Program of Instruction (POI's). 2) Serving as the principal advisor to the command team on all matters relating maritime operations. 3) Planning and coordinating budget, course instruction, evaluation and student accreditation; reviewing and approving additional dive related, non-military professional licensing. 4) Analyzing operational training requirements, assessing training program capabilities, and developing courses of actions to effectively execute mission requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11.
