About the Position: The position is located at the US Army Installation Management Command, Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Fort Benning, GA. Fort Benning is located 100 miles south of Atlanta, GA, and adjacent to Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Duties

Serves as Contracting Officer?s Representative (COR) in the Department of Public Works (DPW) with responsibility for the planning, development, evaluation, oversight and payment of contract performance for municipal service contracts Prepares contract specifications and supporting technical documentation using experienced judgment and institutional knowledge. Monitors the contract from inception to conclusion, initiates corrective action on contract performance and recommends contractor penalties, contract changes or termination. Performs quality assurance surveillance on contractor?s effort, evaluates contractor's performance and interprets contractual specifications, terms and conditions for service contracts. Oversees inspection of completed services and notifies contracting officer and contractor of violations and deficiencies noted, particularly in the areas of schedule, cost and technical performance adequacy.
