Duties
You will plan and lay out the installation, modification, and repair of various new and existing piping systems and equipment.
You will serve as a working leader over at least three trades and crafts employees engaged in installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
You will work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion, and operation of various piping systems and equipment.
You will perform own work as a journey level pipefitter install, modify, and repair new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- May requires ability to obtain license for the operation of Fork Lift, high lift (JGL) and/or Construction equipment upon notification.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Installing, modifying, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial or domestic high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems and equipment; 2) Planning, laying out and installing piping systems and equipment from blueprints, sketches, etc.; 3) Working with processing lines that may contain hazardous materials; and 4) Following all safety requirements, practices, and procedures when working in a hazardous or industrial environment as well as on all work assignments.
