Duties
Serving as a Management Analyst makes you a valuable member of the FLETC team and mission. This position is within the Office of Public Affairs (OPA) under the Director's Office (DO) and located in Glynco, Georgia. The Management analyst is responsible for serving as the technical consultant for administrative and management analysis functions throughout the Office of Public Affairs (OPA).

- Overtime work may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification – Contracting Officer Representative (FAC-COR) Level II certification.

You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service administering diverse projects; conducting detailed analyses of functions/work processes; making recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations; and preparing programming/budgetary projections.; OR
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or LL.M. Education must be directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Copy of transcripts is required.; OR
An equivalent combination of the specialized experience and the graduate education. Only graduate education beyond the first 36 semester hours will be combined with the specialized experience. Copy of transcripts is required.
Time-in-Grade: Current and former GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
In order to qualify at the GS-12 level, you must possess the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level that demonstrates the ability to provide technical, administrative, analytical, and evaluative support in the areas of program budgeting and execution, resource allocation/utilization, scheduling and calendaring, developing briefing materials, and managing correspondence.
Time-in-Grade: Current and former GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
