Duties
Serving as a Program Analyst GS-0343-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is within the Director's Office (DO) and located in Glynco, Georgia.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and analysis for the coordination of a broad range of often complex administrative activities which support the execution of the directive and policy development and maintenance.
Typical duties include:
Provides administrative and analysis support to the FLETC Directives Program Manager in the execution of the FLETC Directives Program.
Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the FLETC organization, functions, and work processes in order to provide advice, assistance, and consultation to FLETC organizational elements concerning the Directives Program.
Supports, develops, and monitors the FLETC Directives Program which includes, a numbering control system, level of approval authority of directives, and media to be used for publishing directives.
Works to supports special program and/or projects when necessary and as directed by the Supervisory SPA.
Works in conjunction with the Directives Program Manager to support briefings and prepare comprehensive reports to keep managers and executives advised of directives progress and to communicate findings and recommendations.
Prepares oral and written responses to questions on issues in support of FLETC programs at the direction of the Supervisory Senior Policy Advisor (SPA).

Requirements

To be eligible for this position and considered you must be a current competitive service career or career-conditional employee of the FLETC or claiming special priority selection rights under the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP).
Specialized Experience Required:
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service performing duties that involve: advising management on the effectiveness and efficiency of program and project management activities using quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques and developing strategies and solutions addressing business process problem areas.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
