This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be a Project Officer serving as a focal point for Special Operations Forces (SOF) clients and other sensitive clients of assigned projects to support in the planning, managing, and execution from approval throughout closeout IAW RD-TSX/DTRA processes and procedures.
Duties
As a PROJECT OFFICER at the GS-0301-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as a Project Officer for the RD-TSXP, Program Management Branch to conduct rapid, secure, and independent assessments of critical and unique technologies and programs.
Ensures independence from client and other influence during assessment project planning, execution and reporting. Develops and conducts assessment status, test readiness review, after action review, and assessment results briefings as requested by senior leadership.
Oversees and participates in the development of Technical Roundtables (TRT), Event Execution Documents (EED), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and final reports. Reviews and approves the EED prior to scheduling and leading the EED review board. Develops and presents the TRR briefing to RD-TSX leadership to gain approval to execute the assessment.
Develops Client Requirement Documents (CRDs) to articulate client/warfighter needs, address Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager and senior leadership comments, and complies with RD-TSX and DTRA operational instructions (OIs), policies and procedures. '
Responsible for resource management and security for RD-TSXP assessment projects. This includes responsibility for project personnel, budget, scheduling, performance, material and instrumentation equipment.
Follows security directives and policies to protect classified client, RD-TSX, and other information, and Operational Security (OPSEC) sensitive RD-TSX information. Updates details of assigned project in the RD-TSX PM database or other RD-TSX data tracking applications.

- Travel, both CONUS and OCONUS, is required for this position.
- The incumbent must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination due to the physical requirements of the position.
- Maintains current tourist and official (when required) passports and renews both within six months prior to expiration date.
- Employee will be required to work overtime, which may include evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
No less than 36 months experience in Project planning, managing and execution from initiation through closeout for at least 24 months.
Experience in working in support of programs in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and/or other sensitive programs.
Experience with test planning and operational testing of equipment and/or systems for acquisition.
Experience managing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) or similar agreements.
Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) experience.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
No less than 60 months Project planning, managing and execution from initiation through closeout.
Directly led support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and/or other sensitive programs.
Experience creating test and assessment design, planning and operational testing of equipment and/or systems for acquisition in direct support of fielding and deployment releases (F&DR).
Experience creating and managing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) or similar agreements.
Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) experience.

Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for these grade levels.
