Duties
Provides administrative and technical support to the Customer Operations directorate through a wide range of functions utilizing professional and technical skills
Develops, monitors and maintains databases related to the analysis, development, and implementation of various managerial projects
Uses commercial off-the-shelf and legacy software to produce a variety of documents and reports
Uses desktop publishing software to prepare varied newsletters, brochures, reports and publications
Enters, tracks, and follows up on tasks assigned by managers throughout the directorate
Manages procurement, storage, and distribution of directorate supplies in keeping with budget

Qualifications
To qualify for a Management and Program Assistant (OA), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Reviewing and maintaining management information and statistics
Gathering and analyzing data, identifying problems and recommending solutions
Conducting limited, well defined studies of internal procedures to generate data and recommending improvement
Administering a files management system to include both hard copy and electronic files
Composing correspondence on findings such as technical reports and research papers
B. Typing Proficiency Requirement: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
