This position is located in the Division of Information Technology, Chief Data Officer Staff, Data Strategy Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, DC. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $270,000.

The incumbent serves as the Chief, Data Strategy Section providing leadership and expertise in enterprise data and data strategy development with focus areas in IT modernization, digital transformation, and security performing the following duties:

To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the following leadership and technical experiences. These qualifications would typically be gained through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Technical Experience: Experience establishing and maintaining corporate-wide data strategies, policies, guidance, and roles and responsibilities; developing data architectures and roadmaps; developing models to facilitate data usage and sharing across the agency; and maintaining governance, such as corporate data standards, data labels; and address new OMB priorities and guidance, and monitor government and industry trends.
