This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Policy, Strategy, and Plans, Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3)
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee strategic communication plans and trainings to increase awareness of prevention activities through the use of multimedia, social media, training, marketing, and the development of resources that can be shared with stakeholders.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Analyst, GS-0343-15, your typical work assignments may include:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the team, ensuring that research, analysis, production, and reporting activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Oversees the work of the communications, training and content creation teams to integrate best practices and form new partnerships in the targeted violence and terrorism prevention field.
Leads and develops content for trainings, technical packages, and other tools to build partner capacity to carry-out targeted violence and terrorism prevention programs and activities.
Communicates as a subject matter expert for targeted violence and terrorism prevention communication and training activities the organization's mission, vision and values to the team and ensures they are integrated into team goals, objectives, work plans, products, and services.
Oversees strategic communication plans and trainings to increase awareness of prevention activities through the use of multimedia, social media, training, marketing, and the development of resources that can be shared with stakeholders.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, or equivlant private sector experience performing duties such as:
Leading teams of communications staff (including contractors) to plan and execute strategic communications and awareness campaign activities in order to achieve both internal and external communications objectives. Experience in managing advisory roles for the purpose of providing expert recommendations to senior leadership on effective communication strategies. (NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.)

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
