This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as a first-level supervisor and Program Manager for the Systems Integration program in the Wind Energy Technologies Office.

- First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1 year probationary period.
- This position has been designated as requiring a PUBLIC TRUST background.
- A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as ALL of the following:
Managing a research and development (R&D) program to address the issues related to the deployment and distribution of wind energy nationwide; AND
Coordinating with government partners, stakeholders researchers in support of the integration of cost-effective wind energy to electric grid; AND
Providing guidance and advice to management and staff engaged in a wide variety of projects or programs.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
