Duties

You will devise, coordinate, specify, operate, and control engineering data and/or configuration management software systems. You will participate in program reviews and audits. You will plan, schedule, collect data, and assist in the analysis of programs and functions. You will assist the senior level specialist responsible for reviews, analyses, evaluations, and recommendations affecting major technical programs. You will evaluate and report on contractor configuration and data management systems

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DS-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (DS-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; 2) Using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; 3) Communicating effectively orally and in writing; 4) Collecting and organizing data used in project management efforts. DS-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5-8) or pay band (DS-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Planning and implementing a Configuration and Data Management program throughout the acquisition lifecycle process; 2) Creating, planning, and monitoring documentation for weapons and/or weapon systems; 3) Providing technical advice to management and personnel at various levels to resolve difficult problems concerning Configuration and Data Management; 4) Working knowledge of configuration and data management policies and procedures.
