About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It's located at the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital located on Fort Johnson, Louisiana. The primary purpose is to coordinate, implement patient transport services, referral management for specialty care appointments with housing/transportation coordination. Coordinate air and/or ground transport and housing of eligible patients and perform a variety of support duties related to patient transport and housing.
Duties
Coordinate and facilitate the transport of patients by ground and air transportation, monitor contractor services, gather data and prepare information and reports on patient transport and to facilitate contingency plans for patient transport.
Assist with the monitoring documentation and authentication of contractor performance through surveillance constant interaction, e.g., one-on-one discussions, audits, telephonic communication, facsimile, e-mail and written communications.
Coordinate air and/or ground transport and housing of eligible patients to and from Fort Polk for these missions, and performs a variety of assistance and support duties related to patient transport and housing.
Utilize automated systems to provide subject-matter assistance in the development of automated patient transport procedures, extract data and prepare reports.
Requirements

- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing a wide variety of standard and nonstandard transportation support services related to the transport of patients by ground and air transportation; and experience utilizing automated systems such as electronic health records to obtain patient information; extract data, and prepare reports; and experience preparing information and reports on patient transport and to facilitate contingency plans for patient transport.
