This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Mission Support Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Develops a growing knowledge of Army Product Data Management (PDM) systems and processes, technical data requirements.
Processes, creates and changes engineering documents (such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Engineering Release Records (ERRs).
Projects are characterized by an extraordinary urgency, priority, or other constraint, creating a need for critical judgment.
Serves as an organizational representative on teams or committees outside the organization developing new policies and techniques.
Incumbent may be assigned as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three-year probationary period may be required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Business travel up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience DE-02: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing Computer Aided Drafting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-4).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; OR (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. Transcripts must be provided with your application.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
