About the Position: This position is located at the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC).
Duties
Determine electrical and installation requirements and develops specifications and designs Industrial Plan Equipment/Process Equipment and facilities.
Develop and execute projects for electrical distribution from the utility source.
Review possible alternate electrical designs and project design criteria for conformance to requirements, accuracy, and completeness.
Analyze manufacturing processes to determine required actions to resolve complex and/or critical problems for the systems.
Conduct inspection and reporting of the general conditions of buildings.
Develop drawings utilizing computer aided drafting (CAD) software for construction projects, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
Maintains visual, verbal, and written documentation and communication on projects from start to completion.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: developing electrical electrical designs/plans and specifications for production and/or process equipment; preparing cost estimates of projects and scope of work to be performed; providing technical guidance to various stakeholders such as: engineers, other technicians, and/or contractors; and reviewing electrical shop drawings for continuity with established plans and specifications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
