About the Position: This position is with the Medical Readiness Command, Pacific located in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Duties

Responsible for directing military personnel management programs and assisting with the implementation of command personnel management for the Medical Readiness Command, Pacific. Formulate and recommend military personnel policies designed to provide optimum manning and personnel support. Serve as technical consultant and point of contact for the regional headquarters on questions concerning laws, regulations, policies, and orders as they pertain to military personnel management. Advise on proposed initiatives, new or revised policies and procedures that impact the command?s military personnel program. Responsible for the overall personnel management, coordination, communication and tracking of MTOE Assigned Personnel, Centrally Managed Clinical Readiness personnel and the Command Individual Mobilization Augmentee program. Supervises a group of employees engaged in military human resource functions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
