A successful candidate in this position will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (System Analysis) is located in the Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Technical Services (OTS), Engineering Systems and Technology Division (ESTD), Command & Control, Communications, Computers & Cyber Branch (C5B), and conducts needs assessments and cost/benefit analyses to advise management on more efficient business processes and IT strategies.
Duties
As a Information Technology Specialist (System Analysis) you will:
Identify and recommend system requirements for personnel based on known and planned workload demands.
Evaluate and perform analysis on IT systems, programs, and strategies to identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
Assess and recommend actions to support the design and development of IT systems, networks, and interfaces.
Work with a variety of individuals from IT engineering teams, software developers, analysts, contractors, vendors, and others, to design, deploy, and support IT solutions.
Coordinate user access, testing, and configuration changes with system users and IT staff.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience
Evaluating and performing analysis on Information Technology (IT) systems, programs, and strategies to identify potential risks and recommend solutions;
Recommending actions to support the design and development of Information Technology (IT) systems, networks, and interfaces.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.
