Duties
This position is a mission critical occupation and is responsible for ensuring that operational and fiscal activities align with and enable accomplishment of Health Resources and Services Administration's mission, goals and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES:
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will serve as a Branch Chief with responsibility for providing expert advice and mastery of highly advanced management and organization skills.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
Supervising, coordinating, evaluating, and directing work performed by subordinate staff.
Developing and analyzing new or modified program/management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
Evaluating and advising on staffing and organization structures, methods, and procedures.
Representing the Division and interact with decision makers and high-level persons within the Federal, State, and local structure, as well as officials of private sector organizations.
Representing the Division, Administrator, and Secretary on top-level program planning and policy development matters with national organizations, institutions, and individuals.
Developing procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of Branch program/management processes.

Requirements
- U. S. Citizenship is required.
- All qualification requirements and time-in-grade must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Federal applicants must submit an SF-50 to show status and time-in-grade.
- Males ages 18 through 25 must be registered with the Selective Service.
- PHS Commissioned Corps applicants must submit current personnel orders.
- A one year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFYING SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, an applicant's one full year of specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.
To qualify for this GS-14 position, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of minimum qualifying specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-13 level in the federal service.
Examples of the minimum qualifying specialized experience equal to the GS-13 level include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis:
Evaluating and analyzing established policies to ensure compliance with program requirements.
OR
Providing strategic advice to senior-level officials on a wide range of administrative program matters involving significant or controversial issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.

LEADERSHIP - Inspires, motivates & guides others toward goal accomplishment; coaches & mentors subordinates; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations; models high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, & respect for the individual by applying these values to daily behaviors.
