You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (PROJECT PLANNER) in the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.

Duties

You will provide multi year planning of small to large-scale facility sustainment, restoration or modernization (SRM) projects in accordance with the NSWC PHD facilities 5 Year strategic plan to achieve program schedule, budgeting and execution plans You will prepare annual Maintenance Action Plans and multi year Maintenance Execution Plans in support of the Facilities 5-10 year Long Range Maintenance Plan. You will perform as the Facilities POC for all planning efforts, prepare and submit Space Assignment, Site Approvals, BFR Update, New Footprint and MILCON project requests for action and approval in support of program requirements. You will be responsible for management of multi year execution plans to support facilities program procurements. You will coordinate site visits with end users / customers on facilities project requirements, conduct end user interviews and asset inspections to collect necessary data to identify project requirements. You will assist in the implementation of policies, directives and programs as directed by the PHD Infrastructure Division Manager, Facilities Manager and/or other appropriate authorities. You will develop and maintain facilities planning metrics, maintain reports/records and prepare statistical reports charts and graphs, as required. You will support Code 102 Infrastructure codes 1023 Environmental and 1024 Safety branches to ensure facilities projects planning program is in compliance.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating and managing complex operations and maintenance projects to support the sustainment, restoration, or modernization of facilities.
