Duties
You will provide technical consultation relative to quality and adequacy of materials, workmanship, procedures, and processes utilized by contractors, customers, and service providers.
You will prepare and present technical infrastructure-related briefings, point papers and special reports.
You will provide technical advice to define, identify, research, and develop documents and data required for data calls related to facility/equipment construction, improvement, maintenance, and/or repair.
You will perform technical review of new construction/modification projects to ensure compliance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities standards.
You will manage continuous inspections of buildings and grounds, and recommend/request repairs and/or maintenance.
You will develop short and long-range budgets including associated utilities and maintenance costs.
Requirements

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 11/12 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of and skill in applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning facility maintenance and administration sufficient to manage facilities including physical structures such as office buildings and laboratory equipment; 2) Knowledge of safety and health standards, construction industry methods, and project management sufficient to plan work, coordinate performance of multiple events or tasks; 3) Ability to work with sensitive programs involving numerous DoD and civilian agencies providing facility and equipment scheduling/availability support for advanced state-of-the-art ocean engineering research and development projects; and 4) Skilled in verbal and written communication.
