Duties
You will analyze tool requirements for validation, verification, and testability purposes.
You will document each defect encountered in a Software Trouble Report.
You will provide inputs to and participate in writing and peer reviewing of requirement documents, software documentation, test cases, and test plans.
You will conduct analysis of test data and Software Trouble Reports.
You will coordinate test support requirements with external lab managers.
You will run test procedures in-house and at various external labs (e.g. F/A-18 AWL, AHWS lab).
You will analyze and execute the procedures for loading new mission planning software and maintain the software on the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) computers.
You will participate in internal and external meetings to discuss recommendations for user interface software development.
You will provide analysis and recommendations from the user perspective to developers and other testers to resolve Software Trouble Reports both internally and externally.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Estimates resources requirements of systems (both existing and conceptual) to include programmatic changes that may impact resource requirements and lifecycle costs and effects.
Performs research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule and performance data.
Conducts analyses to derive relationships among system parameters, schedule variations and costs.
Recommends procedures for preparing, documenting, validating and presenting resources requirements to higher authority.
Uses various mathematical, economic analysis, operations research and computer modeling techniques to perform tasks.
