This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Santa Ana National Disaster Loan Resolution Center in Santa Ana, CA. This Loan Center Director is responsible for the direction of loan processing, servicing, liquidation, and collection for a nationwide loan program.
Duties
Performs the full range of managerial duties and responsibilities in directing all work of assigned Center; develops long-term goals and objectives, establishes, and adjusts priorities; determines resource needs; allocation of resources and accounts for their effective use.
Planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating procedures at assigned loan Center and is responsible for performance and quality of work performed.
Reviews staffing requirements for the Center, justifying additional staffing as required; prepares position descriptions, performance standards and evaluates performance of Loan Operation Center employees.
Cultivates a culture of employee engagement; establishes and communicates vision and long-term goals to Center employees; involves employees in formulation of Center goals and initiatives, as appropriate; communicates regularly on progress toward organizational goals.
Requirements

- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Managing and making credit decisions on liquidating a consumer + commercial real estate portfolio;
Managing loan officers who evaluate consumer and commercial credit risk.
Manage and make credit decisions on a bankruptcy portfolio.
Managing, marketing and disposing foreclosure properties.
Track, report and monitor weekly and monthly performance of office portfolio consisting of stressed loans/defaulted/nonperforming
Develop center goals and overall agency credit quality goals to carry out agency mission.
