About the Position: The Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army's investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army's war fighting capability. Duties

Provides technical coordination of work to lower-grade Inventory Management Specialists engaged in the extremely complex and intensive management of assigned worldwide integrated material. Provides effective material support by the integrated management and control of assigned commodity/system characterized by a high degree of equipment complexity, high dollar value, high visibility, and highly intensive level of management. Participates in planning the detailed guidance necessary to develop and accomplish materiel plans and programs. Participates in or chairs meetings to discuss and resolve major logistics problems for the assigned program area and weapon systems.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing inventory accuracy or reconciliation analysis techniques; executing demand planning and material requirements planning; providing input into rebuild and disposal direction; coordinating repair strategies to initiate component repairs; and preparing and communicating status regarding supply availability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Forecasting and Demand PlanningInventory ManagementOral CommunicationProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
