You will serve as Chief Information Security Officer (IT Management) within the Command, Control, Communications, and Cyber Directorate (J6) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will implement and manage the overall the Command's Information Security Program, which includes oversight and the security of USINDOPACOM's geographically dispersed Information Technology (IT) resources across the Indo-Pacific region.
You will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, administering, managing, staffing and supervising operations for the information security program.
You will provide leadership and direction to a subordinate staff of highly technical and administrative personnel, with full authority to oversee their daily activities from both a personnel and programmatic direction perspective.
You will utilize a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness and/or complex management processes, projects, and systems.
You will research information trends and use this information to forecast additional information needs and resource requirements.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing Information Technology (IT) and Information Security support for high-level joint, combined, and interagency planning and operations. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Planning, directing, and executing organizational operations; 2) Applying working knowledge of Information Technology (IT)/Information Security to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Information Security program policies, procedures, and tools within and across the enterprise; 3) Providing administrative and technical oversight to subordinate staff and adjusting priorities as needed to ensure objectives are met within established timelines; and 4) Keeping up to date with the latest security developments in the IT industry and exchanging this information with leadership, managers, and end-users to enhance mission performance. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
