This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be responsible for system engineering and integration associated with the life cycle of new systems and the modernization of existing systems and tools. You will identify significant, actual and/or potential cybersecurity problems, trends, and weaknesses.
Duties
As a/an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Work with stakeholders, both internal and external, to define requirements that are compliant with general federal laws, Department of Treasury IT policies and standards, Government Accountability Office (GAO), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Congressional, and Executive Office directives and regulations on cybersecurity and other legislative mandates.
Develop, recommend, and implement approved security contingency plans, incident response plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
Recommend new or revised security measures and countermeasures based on the results of security assessment and authorization (SA&A) reviews.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Experience supporting cyber security operations in a leadership capacity; AND
- Experience directing the execution of computer security incident response procedures; AND
- Experience providing technical expertise in the area of computer network defense to include network intrusion detection, network event analysis and correlation, and network flow analysis.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
