You will serve as a Lead Personnel Security Specialist in the USMC, Marine Corps Systems Command of MARCORSYSCOM.
Duties
You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the personnel security program, reviewing request for security clearances and special accesses.
You will provide authoritative information and assistance to officials by advising on personnel security policies and related matters and on the impact of personnel security requirements.
You will assist in arranging and conducting hearings or appeals; and administering security awareness programs.
You will interview applicants to resolve questions concerning derogatory information developed during the security investigation process.
You will meet with employees to discuss reported Adverse/Derogatory information and forward all information meeting one or more of the 13 Adjudicative Guidelines identified in the Security Executive Agent Directive 4.
You will ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated and integrated to teams strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and products and services.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or (NH-02) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: In formulating and applying security policies, procedures, systems, and programs, to include making determinations of security clearance for employees and other persons in order to gain access to sensitive information, resources, material, and work sites.
