You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the BUDGET DIVISION, COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Corona, CA.

Duties

You will serve as the Financial Team Lead in the Corporate Budget Section of NSWC Corona's Comptroller Department leading a team of government and contractor personnel to support the financial operations of the department. You will be responsible for the department financial reporting and the translation of actions, both past and proposed, into meaningful and relevant information for use in the management process. You will plan, schedule and prioritize the Program Financial Analyst (PFAs) workloads and maintain oversight of work accomplishment. You will coordinate with other department FTL's, Comptroller stall, HQ personnel, and sponsors in providing guidance and advising on critical and complicated issues and defend decisions to complicated issues. You will support customer/sponsors by assisting in preparation and review of budgets, cost estimates, and execution reporting. You will oversee department technical and financial staff in their development, training, and implementation of budget reporting tools and cover multiple years and appropriations. You will report all department projects direct and overhead funding at all levels and will review all department and may assist in command financial data calls. You will provide advice and assistance on all areas including budget, manpower, management analysis, finance and accounting, information management, and business process reviews.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, developing, and utilizing financial management methods and procedures to assess internal controls and provide technical direction on reconciling appropriated funding issues ensuring the efficiency of an organization's financial operations.
