This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Secretary (OS), Family Reunification Task Force (FRTF).
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Business Operations Chief as an advisor to the Executive Director on a broad range of programs, projects and issues impacting the effectiveness and has a strategic role within the organization of coordinating teams working on related projects goals.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-15, your typical work assignments may include:
The incumbent advises the Executive Director on extremely involved, unique, controversial, and often highly sensitive political matters relative to the analysis, evaluation, and assessment of those areas. Makes recommendations on national policies.
Interfaces with executive leadership on complex problems and resolves major issues, based on sound operational principles and solutions, and coordinated DHS positions.
Provides Department leadership with analysis, advice, planning, and execution to ensure the successful implementation of program goals and DHS priorities.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: 1) expert knowledge of the substantive nature of Department programs and activities; department missions, policies, and objectives; management principles and processes; 2) expert knowledge and a high degree of executive judgment, imagination, and demonstrated planning and analytical skills involving the interface and coordination of diverse activities; 3) expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4) expert knowledge and understanding of procurement regulations and contracting principles including the latest procedures and techniques sufficient to plan, develop, implement, maintain and administer all contractual aspects of DHS agreements.
