This position is located at US Mint,San Francisco Mint-MANUF DEPT/Plant Mgr CA/Product Div CA/Coining Sec/Material Treatment Br. As a/an Industrial Supervisor (Coining Division), you will direct the work operations of the Coining Division through subordinate supervisors in the following branches: Press room, Material Treatment, and Die Polishing.
Duties
As an Industrial Supervisor (Coining Division), you will
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all coining production on a program-by-program basis, taking into account manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
Make timely production decisions based on a thorough understanding of coining manufacturing.
Initiate the use of lean concepts and techniques to drive process improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness in a rapidly changing work environment.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience is defined as experience:
Monitoring production requirements, special programs, manpower, and equipment needs for programs used in industrial/manufacturing operations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
