This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Information Security Center (ISC), Information Technology Security Division, Access Management Branch in Washington, DC. Access Management Branch is responsible for provisioning/deprovisioning user access request, preventing and defending against unauthorized access to networks, system, and data directly or indirectly related to the Department's activities.
Duties
Responsible for the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security.
Assess adequate access controls based on principles of least privilege and need-to-know.
Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
Implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommend security changes to system or system components as needed.
Assess and monitor cybersecurity related to system implementation and testing practices.
Design and develop system administration and management functionality for privileged access users.
Oversee installation, implementation, configuration, and support of system components.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
IT Competencies:
Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Specialized Experience:
At the GS-12: Qualifying experience for GS-12 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-11 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience: Providing expert technical advice and guidance and recommendations to management and specialist on critical IT issues; Developing, implementing, and coordinating activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore IT systems, services, and capabilities.
