Duties

Plans, coordinates, and implements the installation's policies and procedures for management and accountability of ammunition. Publishes formal documents to inform supported units of the policies and procedures to be followed in obtaining and managing ammunition. Act as the proponent for Fort Cavazos Regulation 700-15, Fort Cavazos Ammunition Handbook. Monitors and enforces compliance with established policies and procedures. Reviews and validates unit submissions for annual ammunition requirements. Submits validated requirements by Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) along with the necessary narrative justifications through the TAMIS directly to IMCOM headquarters.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes utilizing an automated ammunition management system, such as Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS), to validate ammunition requests for military training or operations; and reviewing ammunition requests to ensure they are within approved authorization forecast. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Business or Business Administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityAmmunition and ExplosivesSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
