About the Position: This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS 12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 13 grade step 10 in the broadband. Selected applicant will be assigned to the Joint Project Lead for CBRN Integration (JPL CBRN INTG).

Duties

Serves as the Product Support Manager (PSM) for the assigned acquisition program reporting directly to the Program Manager. Ensures appropriate predictive analysis and modeling tools are used to improve materiel availability and reliability, increase operational availability rates, and reduce operation and sustainment costs. Periodically reviews product support arrangements between the product support integrators and product support providers to ensure the arrangements are consistent with the overall product support strategy. Coordinates, integrates, leads and directly controls the product support efforts associated with the assigned program. Develops the product support strategy and life cycle sustainment plan (LCSP) for assigned projects in accordance with Army acquisition policies and procedures. Directs development of life cycle product support documentation for assigned projects and supports the Program Manager with defending the system at DoD milestone reviews. Participates as the chair or active member of DA level work groups, seminars, committees, and conferences for solving product support problems in order to provide detailed and specific technical information upon which decisions can be based.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification the Advanced level (formerly Level III) in the Acquisition Career Field (Life Cycle Logistics) within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

The JPEO-CBRND exists to manage our nation's investments in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment.
