You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply Department of NRC DETROIT.

Duties

You will prepare, review, submit, and execute procurement actions chargeable and non-chargeable for supplies, equipment, and services using authorize procurement methods. You will coordinate with vendors on payments and services of reoccurring services to including printing, engraving, shipping, cable, telephone, multifunctional device services. You will perform all Card Holder duties associated with the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC). You will maintain, reports, inventories, and expends minor property (above $5,000) in Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and sub-minor property (below $5,000) in Reserve Forces Transaction Card (RESFORTAC) database. You will monitor Navy Reserve E-Lodging (NREL) for berthing requests, verifies eligibility, coordinates and procures from approved sources contract berthing for eligible Drilling Reserve personnel. You will coordinate, orders, receives, and issues Navy Uniform Allowance items for assigned Reserve personnel who meet the eligibility requirements by utilizing Kentucky Logistics Operations Center (KYLOC) as the primary source of supply.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Drill weekend work is required.
  • Driver?s license is required.
  • Employee must qualify for and maintain all requirements necessary to perform purchasing actions as applicable to current instructions regarding DoD civilian employees.
  • Work requires the employee to successfully complete a two-week Supply and Fiscal Management course within six months of employment. This requirement may be waived by the unit's Commanding Officer.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with supply regulations, instructions and publications pertaining to procurement, simplified acquisition procedures, fiscal accounting, and material expenditure. Experience with policies and procedures for the operation and management of a Commercial Purchase Card (CPC) program to purchase materials/supplies. Experience with computer based programs. Experience with supply systems. Experience coordinating with vendors on payments and services of reoccurring services to include printing, engraving, shipping, cable telephone, multifunctional device service.
