This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Information Security Center (ISC), Information Technology Security Division, Access Management Branch in Washington, DC. Access Management Branch is responsible for provisioning/deprovisioning user access request, preventing and defending against unauthorized access to networks, system, and data directly or indirectly related to the Department's activities.

Duties

Responsible for the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security. Assess adequate access controls based on principles of least privilege and need-to-know. Implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommend security changes to system or system components as needed. Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates information systems throughout the systems development life cycle. Identify, assess, and recommend cybersecurity or cybersecurity-enabled products for use within a system and ensure that recommended products are in compliance with organization's evaluation and validation requirements. Design and develop system administration and management functionality for privileged access users. Responsible for managing IT projects and setting up and maintaining a system or specific components of a system Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment Design group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organizational standards, business rules, and needs.

Qualifications

IT Competencies: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. For this position, specialized experience is demonstrated experience verifying and validating appropriate user privileges, assigned credentials, trustworthiness, appropriate user security behavior training, and appropriately granted resource access rights to users. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
