Duties
Recommends organizational financial management policies to the AFC Resource Management Directorate to improve oversite and auditability of unique accounts.
Responsible for evaluation of financial courses of action affecting approximately $4 Billion in reimbursable funding.
Reviews the U.S. Code, Comptroller General Decisions, Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Program Budget Decisions, and Budget Circulars to identify impact of changes on reimbursable administration and execution.
Oversees and develops financial policies and practices that enable the organization to service a wide variety of reimbursable relationships.
Work projects or assignments are characterized by such factors as extraordinary urgency, priority, or constraints which create a need for judgment in making major compromises to satisfy overall technical/management requirements.
Provides expertise to others within the group and throughout the activity on unique and controversial problems.
Conducts analysis on major areas of broad far-reaching or in-depth micro research related to Army Futures Command financial requirements.
Attends meetings and conferences representing the assigned office where directed.

- Financial Management Certification, Level 2 required within 24 months of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience Required: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience: 1.) Experience in Financial management analysis to serve as an authoritative source of guidance and direction in budgetary and financial management policies, principles and techniques, 2.) Resolving critical financial or budget issues such as recommending adjustments or defending resource requirements. 3.) Experience providing review and analysis of financial management regulations such as laws, directives, ledgers, journals, account cost data, and related transactions and functions. 4.) Prepare a full range of written material such as information papers, financial policies and procedures and preparing and provide briefings at all levels of the organization.
