The paint worker shall be able to independently perform all the duties of the painting and metal processing trade and provide guidance on the proper coating techniques required to lesser skilled workers. A thorough knowledge of current trade theory and safety practices and communication of this knowledge to other workers is required.

Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)

- Selectee must pass a pre-employment physical prior to appointment.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Successful completion of a Background investigation may be required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate that you are able to do the work of a Paint Worker/Painter under normal supervision; possess knowledge of trade theory and up-to-date trade practices used in performing painter work; the ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc.; and the ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a Screen-out Element for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.ANDPhysical Requirements: You must be able to perform efficiently the essential functions of the position without hazard to yourself or others.
