This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,PERSONNEL SECURITY DIVISION. As a Personnel Security Specialist (Operations), you will be managing and directing the Bureau's personnel security and loyalty programs in accordance with the relevant Executive Orders, regulations and directives.
Duties
As a Personnel Security Specialist (Operations), you will:
- Serve as the Operations Branch point of contact and may act on behalf of the Operation's Branch Team Leader for on-boarding inquiries submitted by internal and external customers, Contracting Officer Representatives (COR), the Federal Reserve Board (FRB) and the Office of Human Resources (OHR).
- Coordinate and monitor the PSD budget for investigations, credit reports, and supplies.
- Assist with reviewing position sensitivity for all applicants, incumbents, and contracts to ensure the applicability.
- Review and approve all Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) withing the mandated timelines.
Qualifications

Specialized experience for the GS-12 is one year of experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience participating in special studies, preparing findings and recommendations for policies and procedures improvement. AND
- Analyzing and applying law, principles, concepts, policies, practices or regulations governing personnel security and suitability in order to review, analyze, and resolve security problems; AND
- Developing and preparing explanations of facts to express recommendations; AND
- Completing personnel security, suitability, and low risk adjudication of background investigations.
Specialized experience for the GS-11 is one year of experience at the GS-9 level or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:

OR
You may qualify with a Ph. D. or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.M., if related.
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.
