You will serve as a Lead General Supply Specialist in the Surface Operations Department, Technical Division, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will provide technical advice and guidance to provide optimum supply support throughout a weapons system/platform life cycle.
You will be responsible for the execution of policies and procedures, training, and the functional daily use of the Technical Data Package system of record.
You will utilize expertise and leadership to mentor, train, develop and assist teammates as needed.
You will ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team?s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.
You will identify, distribute, and balance workload/tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level, and occupational specialization, making adjustments as needed to ensure work is completed within established timelines.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of the Department of the Navy's overall supply system principles, regulations, and practices relating to life cycle management activities to ensure proper provisioning of materials for procurement and repair. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Working knowledge of systems such as the Integrated Technical Item Management and Procurement (ITIMP) System, Provisioning Files Maintenance Tool (FMT), and Naval Ships Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR); 2) Providing expert functional guidance, consultation, and recommendations to higher level management concerning the resolution of a wide variety of technical procurement problems; 3) Performing Life Cycle Management activities that may include requirements determination, movement, and redistribution of supply items within the Navy's Distribution System; 4) Demonstrating knowledge and experience in technical management of weapon systems and related parts to ensure configurations are accurate to facilitate superior supply support throughout weapon system/platform life cycle; and 5) Developing, recommending, and directing the preparation of policies, milestones and operating procedures/methods for use across teams within assigned functional area.
